De-potting: Cardboard Palette

If you guys have stumbled across z-palettes or other empty palettes in your makeup adventures and wondered “what the hell would I need this for?” – don’t worry, I’ve been there too! It was actually quite recently that I de-potted my first MAC eyeshadows and while it’s a bit of a process, I’m so glad I did it.

Okay, so what’s the deal with the empty palettes? Z-palettes are probably the most popular, but the idea is – especially for eyeshadows that are sold individually – you can remove the pan of eyeshadow from its packaging to cut down on size and to keep your makeup more organized. This is also really great for traveling a little lighter and only bringing what you need.
